Nigerian Woman Mauled by Starving Dogs in Latina, Italy

A 27-year-old Nigerian woman, Patricia Masithela, has tragically lost her life after being mauled by a pack of starving dogs in Latina, Italy. The incident occurred in the Lazio region, where Patricia, who had recently moved to the area, was visiting a male acquaintance at his abandoned villa.

According to reports from Mirror UK, Patricia was unaware that her friend was not home when she visited the villa. While there, she was attacked by a pack of dogs that appeared to be starving. Her screams rang out into the night, alerting neighbors to the brutal attack.

When authorities arrived at the scene, they found Patricia critically injured and lying in a pool of blood with deep wounds across her body. Police officers were forced to intervene by shooting two of the dogs to allow emergency responders to access the scene. The rest of the pack fled after the gunfire.

Despite immediate medical intervention, including being rushed to Santa Maria Goretti Hospital, Patricia succumbed to her injuries and blood loss. She leaves behind a young daughter, just five years old, as well as a grieving family and community.

Local authorities have initiated an investigation to determine how the dogs ended up in the area and why they were starving. The attack has sparked renewed discussions about stray animals and public safety in the region.
