Trump and other world leaders wishes former US President Biden recovery after Cancer diagnosis
This week, the United State President, Donald Trump, and other world leaders have extended their warmest and best wishes to the former United States president Joe Biden over his recent health diagnosis.
Earlier this week, a statement was released from the office of the former US President that Joe Biden has been diagnosed with prostate cancer that has spread to his bones.

The news comes nearly a year after the former president was forced to drop out of the 2024 US presidential election over concerns about his health and age, being the oldest person to have held the office in US history.
According to Cancer Research UK, the cancer is characterised by a Gleason score of 9 out of 10 meaning that his illness is classified as “high-grade” and the cancer cells could spread quickly.
After news broke of his diagnosis, the former president received support from both sides of the aisle.

Trump calls for investigation into Kamala Harris endorsements celebrities

President Donald Trump has called for a major investigation into several celebrity endorsements that the former Vice President Kamala Harris received during her 2024 presidential campaign, suggesting without evidence that some of the celebrities were illegally paid for their endorsements.
“Candidates aren’t allowed to pay for ENDORSEMENTS, which is what Kamala did, under the guise of paying for entertainment,” Trump wrote in a pair of social media posts Monday.
Among the celebrities the president suggests were illegally paid for their endorsements are Oprah Winfrey, Bruce Springsteen and Beyonce, each of whom appeared at Kamala Harris campaign events last year.
Campaign finance disclosures show that Harris’ campaign paid Winfrey’s company, Harpo Productions, a total of $1 million for “event production” on Oct. 15, 2024, roughly a month after Winfrey interviewed Harris at a “Unite for America” campaign event in Detroit in September.
Paid Beyonce’s company, Parkwood Production Media LLC, $165,000 on Nov. 19, 2024, weeks after Beyonce took the stage at a Harris campaign rally in Houston and publicly endorsed Harris, according to campaign records.
And also paid Springsteen’s production company, Thrill Hill Productions, Inc., roughly $75,000 for “travel and event production” on Nov. 19, 2024, roughly a month after he performed at a Harris campaign rally in Georgia, records show.
However Some of the celebrities have publicly denied denying being paid any fee at all and experts say there’s no FEC law barring campaign payments for endorsements.

India Police have arrested a local YouTuber named Jyoti Malhotra on suspicion of spying for Pakistan.

Honda scale back on electric vehicles to concentrate on hybrids
Honda Motor on Tuesday announced its scaling back on its investment on electric vehicles given slowing demand and would be focusing more on capturing growing demand for hybrids with new models.

The CEO, Toshihiro Mibe told a press conference that the automaker has lowered its planned investment in electrification and software through the 2030 business year to 7 trillion yen ($48.4 billion) from its previous 10 trillion yen.
“Based on the current market slowdown, we expect EV sales in 2030 to fall below the 30% that we previously targeted,” Mibe said, adding battery-powered cars might make up only around 20% of the company’s sales by then.
It plans to launch 13 next-generation hybrid models globally in the four years from 2027 and also to develop a hybrid system for large-size models that it plans to launch in the second half of the decade.
Other automakers that have scaled back EV investment include its struggling rival Nissan, which this month abandoned a plan to build a $1.1 billion battery factory on Japan’s southwestern island of Kyushu just months after it had announced the project.
